another open box new take off from a shipping   damaged  21 inch mower..
( I've determined that the new Gw packaging regimen allows the upper handle to slip out of position,  where upon the switch box (& spped controller also)  then rubs on the  motor  housing which is black ,  picking up the black  scuffs ! )
you may only require the inner pieces anyway..  or yours may be in far worse condition than a few cosmetic scuffs!
watchers may be rewarded with a more compelling price point in the near  future ebay legacy seller integrity break :: PLEASE

Size: 21" Mower (5.0Ah)
Easy assembly, charge the battery, set the mow height and go. Worked flawlessly the first time. A week later, it would not start. I checked I was doing everything correctly and still no start.
After a lengthy wait on the manufacturer's customer service line, NOT W/JOESKI11
the attendant took mine and the mower's information, verified my start-up process was correct then, asked that I change the mow height setting. It started. I changed the height several times and it started at each setting. I cannot say if this will repeat but, if yours does this, try the height setting change.
I really like this mower.
UPDATE 1: it’s less than a month later and I experience the same ‘no start’ situation. I call customer service again. The wait is even longer this time. NOT W/JOESKI11  
While waiting, I keep searching/troubleshooting the issue and find the ‘storage switch’ is not releasing all the way, and this is the problem. It sticks. . . . sometimes. It can be depressed and released quickly to get it closed so it will start.
Here’s the bad news. GREENWORKS doesn’t have one in their spare parts system NOT W/JOESKI11
so their remedy is to have you go buy it yourself. BS. They told me it’s not expensive. After freight and tax, it is over $25. More BS. NOT W/JOESKI11
How about they pay for and ship me the part? Isn’t that the purpose of the warranty? I will be calling them back. Update to follow. END OF ACTUAL  UNEDITED AMAZON REVIEW
( except 4my jabs!) THERE YA HAVE IT ! I GOT THAT OBN TAKE OFF  W/NO BS FOR NEARLY  $5 LESS  RIGHT NOW W/JUST A FEW CLICKS & DONE THIS LISTING CONTINUES BELOW but this sure  looks a lot like the one on my GW 10 in  Rototiller ( NO .. THE BAIL  CABLE IS SHORTER  BUT  MANY INTERNAL  PARTS WILL TRANSFER  ),  &  snowblower, & thatcher .
probably used across the GW line though I note some have a black button instead of  white , but all  function essentially the same..
this mechanism keeps the mower cable tight after you depress the button & the bail lever.. when you release the lever..the spring tang releases inside..& the mower shuts off..
a Torx bit is necessary.. & removal of the blade  & 4 head retainer bolts under the deck will allow the head to be raised & expose the  entry retainer & electrical connector clip.
will fit most GMax  & all using the same part # this is a bit tricky to disassemble & place on the handle bar assembly but careful disassembly of the box noting the exact orientation of the loaded spring style switch inside will greatly speed reassembly..
